Valued questionnaires

I can interview you without filling out a questionnaire, but if you put in a little extra effort to fill out your questionnaire on your own, the precious time that I can spend with you will be a step closer to the curative treatment.

I can attach your questionnaire to an email.  You can open it by scrolling to the bottom of the email.  Type directly on that document, or print it out.  If you print out, then scan your document and send it to me.

Questionnaires can also be sent by mail if you are not in a hurry.

The questionnaire was not designed for self-treatment by a person who is not educated in homeopathy.  You can download an old version of the questionnaire here to get an idea of the kind of questions asked.  The ideal is to check off 8-16 symptoms on the list.  Even 3 accurate answers to this questionnaire have produced healing results, so this is not an absolute number.  But before considering filling out the questionnaire without guidance in hopes that it will help you to take your own case, let me warn you that the questionnaire cannot automaticall select a remedy for you.

No matter how you answer the questionnaire, I will have to confirm what each answer means when I talk to you.  Always our discussion leads to a much wider discussion of your problems.  Only a homeopath can make use of this questionnaire. I am only showing you the first step in treatment. The real work of finding a curative treatment involves much more than the questionnaire.

The questionnaire is the first sort

You may think that the questionnaire does not apply to your specific problem.  Because homeopathy treats you as a whole person, typical individual differences in reaction to daily life quickly narrow the choices that I need to make. This is because the questionnaire is based on scientific research.

First, looking for the patterns of your illness can be like putting together a puzzle.

We start puzzles by finding the corners and edges. In the same way, we start finding your remedy by finding your general symptoms.

Why ask about general reactions that have nothing to do with my problem?

You probably think that the questionnaire does not apply to your problem.  Consider this.  Before you had a problem, you had a body that clearly has some tendencies for reacting to or adjusting to the ordinary stress or stimulation of life.  For example, you have reactions to the weather, food and drink etc.  Sleeping, breathing or digestion adjust to stress in ways that are consistent for you.  For the questionnaire, I am interested in reactions that have changed since you had a problem or reactions that are specific to your problem.  Those common symptoms of your problem are like the edges of the puzzle.  They are easy to identify.  Furthermore, they have been tested through statistical research.

After the questionnaire, I fill in more pieces of your illness puzzle using what you have told me along with the questionnaire results. In this way,I eliminate many treatments that will not heal you.  This elimination process means that I can focus on the right treatment much more quickly than I could without asking these questions that narrow my choices. By first eliminating possible treatments based on normal reactions to everyday life, it is much easier to find the remedy that will heal your problem.
