5 cup method of remedy dilution

Fine tune remedy potency control

Gentle Effective Dosing as taught by Dr. Farokh Master

For the non-homeopath

The 5 Cup Method as been clinically tested by Dr. Farokh Master in busy Indian hospitals. It is gentle and effective. Because of his wisdom, homeopaths can easily treat patients who are taking strong pharmaceutical drugs. The method can also be used when you only have a potency that maybe too strong for you. Typically, I also use it to give homeopathic remedies when a patient is also taking pharmaceutical medication with no side effects. The remedy can be taken even several times a day to overcome the strong side effects of medications.

How dilution works: A scientific explanation.

Why I use the 5 cup method

The following opinions belong to Ellen Madono. When a homeopath gives you a remedy that fits you and your symptoms, the remedy is powerful. The better the remedy fits you, the less likely you are to over-react. If you selected the remedy, probably it will not fit you in the way that a remedy would fit you if a homeopath chose it for you. As an example of a situation where you are less likely to overreact to a remedy, if you selected a remedy that you found on the Internet to stimulate your immune system against the flu, probably you will not overreact to it. However, if I selected a remedy after hearing all about you and your condition, the remedy will probably stimulate your healing powers. This is particularly true if you had take many drugs to dull your immune system. In this case, I may use the 5 Cup Method to wake up your immune system more slowly.

Reduce the strength of remedies that are too strong for you

Another way to use the 5 Cup Method, is to weaken a remedy that is too strong for you even if it is your curative remedy. For example, if you only have a 200c and would like to avoid strong reactions because you are weak or you are taking many drugs, The 5 Cup Method is one of several professional strategies. 30c is sold commonly because it is relatively mild. But overreactions are possible. If you are taking remedies without professional guidance, try a dose made with the 5 Cup Method once a day. Then, if needed, you can go up to 2-4 times a day. But, remember remedies are powerful. If you are taking remedies without professional support, err in the direction of caution. For example, taking the remedy once instead of twice will reduce the effect it has on you.

Test the potency and see how you feel. Even if you have a homeopath’s help, your perception of your reaction be insufficient to judge the actual meaning of your reaction. But, value your own observations. Even a homeopath will rely heavily on your perceptions.

The Clinical Experience of Ellen Madono

  • For extremely sensitive patients, I have diluted up to 17 times with good results.

  • Once sensitive patients understand the 5 cup method, I encourage them to adjust the dilution to suit their perceived needs.

  • The 5 cup method is a way to get around stocking many different potencies of one remedy.  This way, for example, a 30c can be used like a 6c.

  • Patients are astounded that this level of dilution actually works. Some patients understand homeopathy better because of this their experienc.

  • There are other dispositions of patients where unfortunately even the suggestion that they could dilute so much is so incredible that they lose trust in homepathy.

  • This method does not work with patients who for any reason easily forget to take their remedy; or patients to whom using a remedy several times a day is “too much bother.”

Copies of the pictures on this page will be uploaded as soon as I receive feedback that they are useful. I will also provide the orginal Keynote and PowerPoint versions so that homeopaths can make their own versions.
